From a one-man office to a technology leader

1982

The beginning is modest but marked by foresight: Company founder Robert Schönfeld sets up an engineering office in the basement of his single-family home – during his employment he realized the potential of hydrostatic components for machine tools

1991

After years of intensive development, the company moved to the Göppingen Voralb industrial park and founded HYPROSTATIK Schönfeld GmbH; the young company employs four people and takes inspiration for its name from its “original product” – the progressive flow controller.

2006

HYPROSTATIK has grown to 30 employees and moves into a new company building furnished according to Feng Shui guidelines; the company takes care of the promotion of young talent and trains apprentices

2013

The hydrostatic products from Göppingen are in such high demand internationally that HYPROSTATIK is the technology leader, has 35 employees and records annual sales growth in the double-digit percentage range. Despite its rapid growth, HYPROSTATIK is still a family business with flat hierarchies and close contact with its customers.

2019

The offices and the production hall are extended by a total of 2300 m². For more comfort, they are fully air-conditioned and newly equipped. Further growth is therefore assured.

2022

Hyprostatik Schönfeld GmbH, which specializes in hydrostatic systems, has been part of the Schunk Group since July 28, 2022, and has thus become part of an internationally active technology group. This step further intensifies the long-standing development partnership between Hyprostatik Schönfeld and OptoTech Optikmaschinen Gmbh, which also belongs to the Schunk Group. Hyprostatik products will continue to be sold directly through Hyprostatik Schönfeld. “We are pleased to partner with OptoTech to further advance the development and distribution of our hydrostatic products.
